I need help on this show steps pleaseeee!!!

Question
Answer:
Step #1 - convert 1 ⅓ into a mixed number,

[tex] \frac{1}{2}r - \frac{1}{3} - \frac{4}{3} = - \frac{7}{3} [/tex]

Step #2 - calculate the sum or difference of - ⅓ by -4/3,

[tex] \frac{1}{2}r - \frac{5}{3} = - \frac{7}{3} [/tex]

Step #3 - Multiply both sides by 6,

[tex] \frac{1}{2} (6)r - \frac{5}{3} (6) = - \frac{7}{3} (6)[/tex]

[tex]3r - 10 = - 14[/tex]

Step #4 - Move constant ( - 10 ) to the right and change its sign,

[tex]3r = - 14 + 10[/tex]

Step #5 - Calculate the sum

[tex]3r = - 4[/tex]

Step #6 - Divide both sides by 3 so we can isolate the variable r,

[tex]r = - \frac{4}{3} [/tex]
